On August 11, 2025, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Senegal, H.E. Ibrahim Turay, warmly welcomed the Ram Kamara female football team at the embassy. The Ambassador commended the players and technical staff for their impressive performance in the CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers – WAFU-A.
Ambassador Turay encouraged the team to maintain their discipline and determination, urging them to make Sierra Leone proud. In response, Madam Haja Ramatulai Kamara, Head of Female Football and Executive member of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), expressed gratitude for the hospitality and support extended to the team during their stay in Senegal.
The Head of Delegation, Mr. Karim Kabba, also thanked the Ambassador for the warm reception and conducive atmosphere in Senegal. The courtesy visit showcased the appreciation and respect between the team and the embassy, highlighting the strong ties between Sierra Leonean institutions abroad and national teams.
