Samura Kamara Takes Over SLPP’s Moyamba Stronghold

According to a Press Statement released by the main opposition party in respect of the trip of its Presidential Candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara, residents of the Moyamba Township turned up in their numbers to welcome him.

Party supporters and Executive members say the massive turnout of thousands of members, supporters, and well-wishers in the Moyamba Township and Bumpeh Chiefdom to graciously and triumphantly welcome and thank Dr. Samura Kamara and his Team, is proof of public perception in the Moyamba area, one of the strongholds of the SLPP party that Samura can be trusted to transform the country’s economy. It also indicates that the idea of strongholds is fast eroding.

“President Julius Maada Bio will encounter fierce opposition if he makes any further attempts to turn his police officers against his own people,” says Dr Samura Kamara. (Dr Samura Kamara speaking to the Moyamba people under rain).

Dr. Samura Kamara recalled the incident in Tombo, where the police fired live ammunition and tear gas innocent fishermen who protested against restriction on their boats to go fishing, which is their main source of livelihood.

Samura Kamara maintained that the SLPP-Paopa government failed to fulfill any of its outrageous promises throughout its five years in office, naming the failures as follows:

1= fixing the economy in six months.

2= Free Quality Education

3= Delivery of high-quality medical care

4= The Lungi Bridge and

5= the Mega Project

The people of Sierra Leone will have their own day soon, and Momodu Elongi Maligi is convinced that voters will show the Paopa Government the exit door. He believes that Samura Kamara is an alternative President to Bio, and will create mechanisms for the reduction of poverty, the restoration of improved living conditions, and the development of jobs for the youth, and give hope to the people.

In Bumpeh chiefdom thousands of supporters graced Dr. Samura Kamara’s campaign and gave him the assurance that the township of Rotifunk would vote resoundingly for him.

In places like Gbinti, Batkanu, and others, Dr Samura Kamara embarked on a door-to-door campaign, telling the locals that they should join the cry for change, providing a plausible alternative to the Bio regime’s failed economic policies.

The APC Presidential Candidate urged the populace in the respective areas visited to put their faith in him and the APC, adding that the elections on June 24 should be used to send a clear message that the SLPP and its failed policies are to be rejected.
