“Shame on SLPP for Calling APC Unprogressive”

  – Ishmael Al-Sankoh Conteh

Former Deputy Minister of Sports, Ishmael Al-Sankoh Conteh, has strongly condemned the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) for labeling the All People’s Congress (APC) as unprogressive. He described the remark as a baseless attack and an insult to the party’s legacy and contributions to national development.

Speaking to reporters, Conteh criticized the SLPP for what he termed as a failure to acknowledge the APC’s strides in governance, infrastructure, and economic reforms. He pointed out that under APC leadership, Sierra Leone witnessed significant improvements in various sectors, including road networks, energy expansion, and youth empowerment initiatives.

Conteh further accused the SLPP of engaging in political propaganda rather than addressing pressing national issues such as unemployment, inflation, and governance challenges. He urged the ruling party to focus on delivering on its campaign promises rather than attempting to discredit the APC.

“The APC is a party with a strong track record of progress and development. It is laughable that the SLPP, which has struggled to maintain stability and economic growth, would call us unprogressive. This is nothing but a diversion from their own failures,” Conteh stated.

He reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to democratic governance, national unity, and sustainable development, calling on party supporters to remain steadfast and focused on the future.
