Moris Sillah, a Student made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown on two count charges to wit deals in a prohibited drug without lawful authority contrary to Section 7 (b) of the National Drug Control Act 2008, Act No.10 of 2008 and possession of a prohibited drug without lawful authority contrary to section 8 (a) of the National Drug Control Act 2008 Act No.10 of 2008
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 14th August 2025 at #9 second Street, mountain cut in the Western Area in Freetown was caught with prohibited drugs without lawful authority
Count two further stated that on the same date and place the defendant was found in possession of loosed quality of Kush without lawful authority.
When the charges were read and explained to the defendant no plea taken.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Isatu Baba Musa led prosecution witness number three Sergeant 9891 Peter Kaitibie attached to the Waterloo police station he recognise the defendant and he recall on the 14th August 2025 he was on duty by then at Eastern police station when he received an information about the defendant that he was in possession of quantity of Kush. Upon the information, he lead a team of Police officers at the said address where he arrested the defendant with the said substance suspected to be Kush and took him to the police station together with the exhibit and handover him for investigation.
The witness was cross examined by A.A Bangura Esq.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah refused bail based on the seriousness of the offence. The matter was adjourned to the 14th October 2025 for further hearing.
