Time to Support the President…

Cee Bah Breaks Silence

Mohamed Cee Bah, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, has made a passionate appeal for national unity and collective action to support President Julius Maada Bio’s development initiatives.
In his recent address, the minister underscored the urgency of putting aside political rivalries rather to focus on the country’s progress and well-being.
“The time for politics is over,” Swaray declared, emphasizing that the nation must move past political divisions. He called on all Sierra Leoneans, regardless of their affiliations with the All People’s Congress (APC) or Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), to unite in the common cause of building a better Sierra Leone. “Sierra Leone is bigger than everybody,” he stressed, urging citizens to put national interests above partisan concerns.

Minister Swaray highlighted that President Bio’s administration is dedicated to implementing transformative projects and reforms that will uplift communities and improve the lives of all citizens, adding that these goals can only be realized through broad-based support and cooperation. “For our President to deliver for the people, he needs the backing of every Sierra Leonean,” he stated.
While recognizing the importance of political engagement in a democratic society, Swaray called for a temporary shift in focus. “When the time for politics comes, everyone will have the opportunity to participate and voice their views. But right now, we must come together to support the President’s vision for a prosperous and unified Sierra Leone,” he urged.

The minister’s appeal comes as the government steps up efforts to spur economic growth, strengthen infrastructure, and promote social development across the country. He encouraged all citizens to work collaboratively, transcending party lines, to ensure that the country’s future is bright and prosperous.
