UBA Group has been crowned Africa’s Bank of the Year 2025 for the third time in five years at the prestigious Banker Awards.
UBA Sierra Leone proudly joins this continental victory, emerging as Best Bank in Sierra Leone 2025, one of nine UBA subsidiaries recognized across Africa.
The Banker (Financial Times, London) praised UBA for its innovation, strong financial performance, and digital leadership, including advancement in Leo, the first African banking chatbot to enable cross border payments via PAPSS.
Group CEO, Oliver Alawuba, noted that, the win reflects UBA’s commitment to customer-first innovation and impactful growth across Africa.
