Works Minister Sent on Immediate leave

The embattled Minister of Works and Public Assets, Dr. Dennis Sandy according to a letter dated 22 September, 2025, addressed to the Minister of Works from the Government of Sierra Leone must proceed on immediate leave.

In a dramatic turn of events, staff members openly voiced their frustration and dissatisfaction with their Denis Sandy, stating that “the works Msinister must go.” The call comes after months of simmering tensions in the workplace, with employees citing poor leadership, lack of accountability, and failure to address pressing concerns as key reasons for their demand.

According to sources within the institution, morale has been on a steady decline as workers feel increasingly sidelined and ignored in important decision-making processes. Many argue that the leadership style of the current boss has created division, slowed productivity, and stifled innovation. Some even claim that opportunities for growth and improvement are being wasted under his stewardship.

The staff’s collective call for change reflects a growing sense of urgency to restore confidence, harmony, and efficiency within the organization. For them, replacing the current boss is not just about removing an individual but about bringing in fresh energy, accountability, and a vision that aligns with the aspirations of both employees and the public they serve.

As the situation unfolds, questions remain about how management and governing authorities will respond to the loud and united voice of the workers. What is clear, however, is that the staff are determined and unwavering in their demand for new leadership—believing it to be the only way forward for progress and stability.
