Zainab Sheriff Talks Tough

Zainab Sheriff has publicly issued a strong and uncompromising statement, firmly distancing herself from the All People’s Congress (APC) and warning both the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) and the APC against actions she describes as dishonest and misleading.

In a bold declaration, Zainab Sheriff made it clear that she does not want the APC—or any political party—to pay on her behalf in matters relating to the PPRC. “Don’t pay for me,” she insisted, emphasizing that she never authorized anyone to act or speak for her. According to her, any attempt to present her as a representative or beneficiary of the APC’s actions is false and unacceptable.

She categorically stated that she did not speak for the APC at any time. “I speak for myself,” Zainab Sheriff stressed, underscoring her independence and personal agency. She warned that any narrative suggesting otherwise amounts to deliberate misrepresentation of her position and identity.

Zainab Sheriff also revealed that she is considering court action against the PPRC, accusing the institution of actions that she believes infringe on her rights and misinterpret her status. She maintained that the matter is personal and legal, not partisan, and should not be politicized by any party or authority.

In a further escalation, she threatened to sue the APC for dishonesty, alleging that the party has acted in bad faith by linking her name to its internal or external dealings without her consent. She described such actions as deceptive and damaging to her credibility, reputation, and personal integrity.

Her statement sends a strong message about accountability, transparency, and the right of individuals to speak and act for themselves without political appropriation. Zainab Sheriff’s stance also highlights growing tensions around political representation and the use of individuals’ names in partisan disputes without clear authorization.

As the situation unfolds, political observers are closely watching to see whether the matter will proceed to court and how both the PPRC and the APC will respond to her serious allegations. For now, Zainab Sheriff remains resolute, insisting that her voice is her own—and that neither political parties nor institutions have the right to claim it.
