One Mohamed Jalloh a businessman and a customer at Zenith Bank Sierra Leone Limited on Rawdon Street in Freetown has disclosed and alleged that on Friday 21st June 2024, he went to said bank to collect six thousand and three hundred United States dollars ($6,300) sent to him by his partners from Canada Heritage Education through Zenith Bank in Sierra Leone, which he instructed his partners to as he has been doing business with the bank for 10 years without any problem under the former Managing Director George Menzeh.
He further alleged that the current MD Chideke at the Bank did not treat him well as a longstanding customer when he went to collect his money.
Mohamed Jalloh further said that the MD told him to wait till after seven month before he would be paid his money.
According to the complainant Mohamed Jalloh, he said the money had been remitted on the 9th of June, 2024, and he decided to collect the money on the 21st June, 2024.
Already, he has reported the matter at the Criminal Investigation Department at Central Police Station. He has also filed a Private Criminal Summon against the bank (Zenith Bank).
Jalloh said that when he contacted his partners if Zenith Bank has returned the money to them, his partners replied in the negative.
The bank is expected to receive Criminal Summon from the court while the Police is doing their investigation.
