Kontri Boss, born Edward Wright, is an Afrobeat and Afrofusion recording artist, songwriter, performer, and entrepreneur from Freetown, Sierra Leone.
He is known for blending authentic African storytelling with contemporary Afrobeat sounds, which has helped him built a loyal fan base. His music features motivational songs, street anthems, and socially conscious themes. Kontri Boss’s sound reflects everyday life, hustle culture, love, resilience, and African pride. He began his career as part of a group known as 441 and has made a significant impact on the industry by contributing to songwriting and being featured in many songs by artists such as Zainab Sherriff, King Boss La, and more.
In 2023, he released his debut full-length album, “Rebirth,” through DIC Record Label.
