The SLFA wishes to inform the public that its Technical Director John Edward Keister and Head Coach Didier Gomez Da Rosa departed Sierra Leone today Friday, August 7 for the United Kingdom on an official player scouting mission and have arrived safely.
The mission forms part of the SLFA’s ongoing commitment to identifying and assessing eligible Sierra Leonean players based overseas who have the potential to strengthen the country’s senior national men’s team, Leone Stars.
During their stay in the UK, the delegation will be joined by Morlia Kamara, SLFA National Teams Scout, who is resident in the UK. Together, they will engage with players, clubs, and key stakeholders as part of efforts to broaden the national team talent pool.
The TD and Head Coach are expected to return to Sierra Leone within a week to continue preparations for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers, with the scouting mission forming an important part of the technical team’s preparations ahead of the qualifiers.
