Chairman Abdul Osman Turay (A.O.T.), has officially undertaken the ceremonial kick-off to mark the commencement of the first-ever West African female tournament hosted in the North-west Region in Sierra Leone across three West African countries-Mali, Guinea and Sierra Leone
Twelve participating teams include six from Mali and Guinea including the newly promoted Bomoi Queens and Patricia Umu FC from North-west Region.
In his statement, Chairman A.O.T remarked that this tournament is more than just a tournament, noting that it is a historic moment for football, youth development, unity, and regional pride.
He continued by saying the Northwest Region has opened its doors to West Africa, putting its region firmly on the sporting map.
He called on football enthusiasts to come out, support the teams, celebrate the players, and be part of this historic football experience.
He urged the fans to pack the stands. Raise their voices, support their teams.
The North-West Region is ready. West Africa is watching. Let the games begin!
