The leadership of the Karene District Football Association (KarDFA) has on Saturday 19th September, 2026 hosted a maiden face-to-face executive committee meeting of the aforementioned association at the Conference Hall of the Karene District Council at its Looking Town in Kamakwie.
The event attracted senior executive members including; the Chairman and Secretary of the association respectively were in attendance, and above all, cross section of the Chairmen of the Chiefdom FAs graced this auspicious occasion. Abdul Kandeh Turay, Chairman of the association assured attendance that; “The funds we have been receiving from the region won’t be enough to run the activities of the association but rather we dip into our pockets for the development of the association, notably the association is now boasting of an Electronic Changing Board and Communication Gadgets for the referees association which cost thousands of dollars among other trajectories” he justified.
The meeting lasted for several hours of which key issues were lengtheningly discussed, not limited to the operations of the motor bikes, funds received from the Regional federation, the proposed commencement of the 2026/27 Division Two tournament, most importantly an update on the construction of the KDEC Field Fence in anticipation of the declined of the raining season, a project Brima Sorie Turay, Secretary of the association ticked as the baby and flagship of the federation.
