Unity Forum Donates 6 Bags of 50Kg Rice, 6 Jelly Cans Palm Oil

A child’s development hinges on the provision of a balanced diet and regular meals. A child who finds it extremely difficult to access regular meals on a daily bases will certain hindered his or her holistic development.
It is against this backdrop that Love Flows Empowerment/Unity Forum on Fr4iday 18th September, 2026, donated six (6) bags of 50Kg of rice and six (6) Jelly Cans of Palm Oil to support street children being assisted by SOS Children’s Villages, Sierra Leone.
In his statement at the handing over ceremony, Mr. Periera Dionisio, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages, Sierra Leone, noted that no adult should be comfortable to eat every day when thousands of children are without food and protection.
Mr. Periera maintained that the world cannot solve all the problems of vulnerable children, noting further that humanitarian organisations could not do it alone, but with the efforts of friends of SOS Children’s Villages and past beneficiaries positive impacts would be created in the lives of less privileged children.
‘’What Love Flows Empowerment has donated is a lot when we quantify them in terms of money value,’’ the SOS ND stated.
The SOS National Director expressed his deep appreciation to all members of Love Flows\Unity Forum for their generosity in supporting street children a programme initiated by SOS Children’s Villages, Sierra Leone.
‘’We cannot assist all the street children in Sierra Leone, but the few we are able to assist we will do our best,’’ he said. Mr. Periera continued by saying that the food items donated by Love Flows Empowerment/Unity Forum are a testament that that the organisation cares for the plight of under privileged children.
He assured that members of Love Flows Empowerment that the food items would be used for its intended purpose.
Chairman of Love Flows Empowerment/Unity Forum, Mr. Clifford Lansana said every child has the right to a food, grow strong and develop in a holistic manner.
He commended SOS Children’s Villages, Sierra Leone for initiating a pilot project for street children. ‘’Street children must not be a burden to adults, but potentials to be unlocked to advance their future and achieve their dreams,’’ Clifford Lansana is quoted as saying.
Clifford added that investing in street children is investing in their future development.
‘’I am urging my fellow Sierra Leoneans and other wee-wishers to come on board to assist vulnerable children,’’ he appealed.
Speaking on behalf of the founder and CEO of Love flows Empowerment/Unity Forum, Aminata Koroma, who resides in the United Kingdom, Mr. Benoni Williams, Financial Controller of Unity Forum extended his gratitude to SOS Children’s Villages, Sierra Leone for their continued collaboration.
Mr. Williams assured his audience that lots of goodies are in the pipeline for vulnerable children.
‘’We are determined to embark on fund raising ventures to support our humanitarian ventures,’’ Benoni disclosed.
