“KKY Is Not A Member Of SLPP”

A another fresh political bombshell and controversy is reportedly emerging within the ranks of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) following a statement attributed by  Hon. Muniru Lansana, who is said to have declared that Honourable Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella aka KKY is not a member of the party and, consequently, cannot contest for the SLPP flagbearer position.

The reported statement has the potential to generate discussion among party supporters, political stakeholders and observers following the evolving debate over party membership, eligibility requirements and the process through which individuals may seek the leadership of a political party.

Hon. Muniru Lansana’s alleged position raises an important question: What are the official membership and eligibility requirements governing individuals who wish to contest for the SLPP flagbearer position?

While the statement attributed to Lansana presents a direct challenge to Hon. KKY’s reported political aspirations, the specific basis for the claim, including the relevant party rules, membership records and any formal party decision, would need to be established through verifiable evidence.

In another development, the SLPP Publicity Secretary is reported to dragged Musa Tarawally to the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) in relation to alleged threaten remarks made against senior party members which they consider as cyberbullying.

This medium further gathered that should Musa Tarawally refuse to report to the CID a warrant of arrest will be issued out by the CID to execute his arrest.
