In Toulouse, France, a special football match is taking place between Friends Unite Travel and Play and Nimba.

Both sides are composed of former professional players, including individuals who have represented their national teams and played for clubs abroad. The fixture is aimed at promoting unity, friendship, and cultural exchange through football.

Former Leone Stars captain Ibrahim Kargbo said he and Rashid Kamara, both of whom previously featured in the Arsenal youth system, are among the veteran players involved in the initiative. The Sierra Leone veteran side has also participated in similar international engagements, including competitions in England designed to strengthen connections between players of different nationalities.

The match was organised through an invitation by Mohamed Lamin, a Guinean former player who featured in the French league and continues to play a role in connecting veteran footballers across Europe. The event underscores football’s role in bringing people together beyond borders, fostering relationships and shared experiences among former professionals.
