RCBank Unveils Kambia’s Branch

Rokel Commercial Bank (SL) Ltd. has officially unveiled its new RCBank Kambia Branch — bringing banking closer to the heart of the North’s busiest commercial town.

The unveiling brought together the Board Chairman and Directors, Paramount Chiefs, Kambia Traders Association, local NGOs, security agencies, government officials, a representative of the Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone, and RCBank’s senior management. Their presence was a testament that Kambia is ready for growth in business.

Traditionally, Kambia never slows down as a major trade hub with strong links to Guinea as this town moves goods, money, and opportunity across borders daily.

With RCBank Kambia, traders, farmers, importers, and SMEs can open accounts, move money, and access loans. Another advantage the RCBank Kambia has brought to its people there will be no more trips Port Loko or Freetown.

Dr. Walton Ekundayo Gilpin, Managing Director of RCBank, captured it perfectly: “This branch is more than an expansion. It’s an investment in trade, in livelihoods, and in the future of this border community. RCBank will serve Kambia with integrity, innovation, and excellence.”

Delivering the keynote address, the representative of the Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone, John A.T Tucker- Director of Financial Stability commended RCBank and Kambia’s business community:

“RCBank’s investment here is timely. By extending regulated banking to border towns, we reduce cash risk, improve trade documentation, and give traders and farmers the tools to grow. This is financial inclusion in action, and the Bank of Sierra Leone fully supports it.”

The Paramount Chiefs delivered the welcome statement where he said: ‘’the opening of Rokel Commercial Bank in Kambia is blessing for traders, for farmers, for families — and for every business ready to grow.’’

The new Kambia branch is equipped modern technology and staffed with trained and experienced personnel.
