The Executive of Kaffu Bullom Football Association held a productive meeting with the Freetown International Airport Management to discuss the proposed development of the Lungi Central Field into an artificial turf facility.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the two parties to improve the quality of the community field and create a modern playing surface that will benefit players, clubs, and the wider community. Discussions also covered the project’s potential impact on youth football development, talent identification, and the hosting of local and regional competitions by SLFA/CAF.
Managing Director of FIA Limited Can Erkut Guven underscore the role of FIA in the community, he pointed out that now that the construction team of FBI Group are in town, FIA will ensure the Lungi Central Field is modernized to the best of their ability.
Chairman of KaBFA Andrew Abu Bakar Kamara commended the efforts of FIA in ensuring that a facelift is given to the central field. He pointed out that if the project is completed before the start of the new season, it will boost the chances of generating funds for our darling Bullom Stars team through tickets proceeds.
Both the Kaffu Bullom Football Association Executive and the Freetown International Airport Management expressed their commitment to working together to make the development of central field project a reality, recognizing its importance in promoting sports development and providing a safe, durable, and all-weather playing facility for the people of Lungi and its environs.
