The Sierra Leone Premier League Board has announced the introduction of cooling breaks in all Leone Rock Premier League matches across the country, effective immediately.
The decision will see cooling breaks observed during both halves of every match as part of efforts to protect players’ health, safety and well-being throughout the competition.
The initiative is intended to help players manage heat and reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses during matches, particularly in challenging weather conditions.
The measure will apply to all Leone Rock Premier League fixtures nationwide, ensuring that players have opportunities to hydrate and recover during games.
The introduction of cooling breaks highlights the Board’s commitment to prioritising player welfare while ensuring the smooth and safe conduct of the ongoing league season.@42232564449533 @12674817613920
