Roles In Salone’s Brutal Rebel War

$4.6M Alleged Fraud

The  question on  everyone  lip  is ,  should Sierra Leoneans  tolerate an alleged fraudster and  war monger  to  preside over  the future  governance of Sierra Leone ?

Certainly, the answer is a big ‘NO’!

Since Alie Kabba came in conflict with the law over the procurement of a staggering sum of $ 4. 6 million US Dollar  deal to   renovate Sierra Leone’s  Chancery in  New York  USA,  Alie Kabba  who  happened to be the  Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2018 and  later  served as the Ambassador to  U.S.  And Permanent Representative to the United Nations, he has never endeavoured to come out clean to the people of Sierra Leone.

He  is  expected  to have explained   himself to the people of Sierra Leone about   his involvement  in the most brutal and deadly rebel war  which  left the country in total  ruins  with  the  legacies of  brutal  amputation of  arms and limbs of  defenceless and  innocent  civilians.

During   one of the  cross examinations at the International  Criminal  Court (ICC)  in the  Hague, Netherlands the   former  Liberia  Rebel  Leader and  War Lord  Charles  Taylor denied doing  any  direct  business with RUF Cpl. Foday  Sankoh ,  instead he  made mention of  Alie Kabba whom  he was  directly in contact with.

Whether he was  being economical with the  truth or not  Alie Kabba is required to come  out clean  to  clarify certain things  regarding spillage of innocent  Sierra Leoneans   blood  and the  whereabouts of  all  our  mineral  wealth that  were  illegally  extracted  during the spillage  of blood during the war.

Aspiring for the  highest political  office in Sierra Leone-the Presidency, Alie Kabba is bound by law and his conscience to  clear his head of every blame  and  allegation levied  against him  with  special reference to the over  $ 4.6 million US Dollar  contractual  failure  while  holding high  profile  public   offices.

He deserves  the  right like any other  citizen  to  aspire for the Presidency of the Republic of  Sierra Leone  but  this  requires both  public and  self-scrutiny.

The ripple effect of chronic corruption and  the more than decade-long brutal rebel war in Sierra Leone  still  responsible for  the under development and deplorable  status of our country.

It’s   therefore imperative on  anyone whose  name  had been linked to  alleged fraud  and the  genesis of the over decade long rebel war in Sierra Leone  to clarify  the  above  allegations  for the  public to  judge.

If found culpable he has to tender an unequivocal apology to the people of Sierra Leone before he will be forgiven of any wrong acts.
