VP JULDEH JALLOH UNVEILS LEICESTER PEAK TOURISM ECONOMIC ZONE

Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has officially commissioned the Leicester Peak Viewpoint, describing it as a major step in strengthening Sierra Leone’s tourism sector and supporting economic diversification.

Backed by the World Bank through the Sierra Leone Economic Diversification Project, the initiative is designed to improve the visitor experience while reducing the country’s dependence on extractive industries.

Speaking at the event, the Vice President said that the facility reflected a clear shift towards sustainable growth, adding that investments like that were key to positioning Sierra Leone as a competitive destination for tourism and global investment.
