The Foundation of Türkiye Graduates in Sierra Leone has expressed delight and appreciation following the official visit of the Vice President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to the country.
The distinguished visit provided a valuable opportunity for the Foundation to present its vision, ongoing activities and long-term commitment to strengthening the growing relationship and cooperation between Türkiye and Sierra Leone.
During the visit, the leadership of the Foundation shared information about several key initiatives focused on youth empowerment, education, humanitarian assistance and community development. Particular attention was given to the proposed Türkiye Graduates Innovation and Digital Skills Center, an ambitious initiative designed to equip young Sierra Leoneans with practical digital, technological and entrepreneurial skills.
The proposed center is expected to create new opportunities for young people by providing them with relevant skills needed to succeed in an increasingly digital and competitive global economy. The initiative also seeks to encourage innovation, entrepreneurship and self-reliance among Sierra Leonean youths.
The Foundation noted that investing in young people remains one of the most effective ways of promoting sustainable national development.
