Abdul Bangura Braces For East End Lions as Bo Rangers Crowned Unity Cup Champions

By Kemoh Sesay

Bo Rangers have been crowned champions of the Unity Cup following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over East End Lions in the final at the Southern Arena in Bo City.

Abdul Bangura was the hero of the day, scoring a brilliant brace in the 7th and 90th minutes to secure the trophy for the Leone Rock Premier League champions.

East End Lions fought hard to get back into the contest but were unable to prevent Bo Rangers from lifting the Unity Cup ahead of the commencement of the 2026/27 Sierra Leone Premier League season, scheduled to kick off on 10 October.

The victory provides a major confidence boost for Bo Rangers as they prepare to defend their domestic title, while East End Lions will be looking to regroup and improve their performance following another disappointing result after their recent exit from the CAF Champions League.
