During his short stay in the country, EXCO Member has attended the annual Vancouver football tournament.
Various categories of teams from the host nation, Mexico, and the USA participated ranging from under 6 upwards to Veterans 52 years at most.

The experience gained have helped the SLFA EXCO Member fully understood how such competitions are organised, and also able to identify areas to be operated on a different conceptualization.
His engagement with organizers, technical team and other actors is of great essence to all Sierra Leoneans.
Single Leg Football Association Visits NSA Executive Director
The Sierra Leone Single Leg Football Association, led by its National President Mr. Aruna Thullah, on Wednesday 2nd July 2026 paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Mohamed Alphaka Conteh, Esq., Executive Director of the National Sports Authority.

The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the Association to the NSA Executive Director and to reaffirm the Association’s full support for the Authority’s mandate. During the engagement, the Association presented to the Executive Director a well-framed A3-size photograph of the NSA Chief.
In his remarks, Mr. Conteh expressed his deepest appreciation to the Sierra Leone Single Leg Football Association and the photo gift.

Conteh stated: “Whilst I appreciate your visit, I want to inform you that I shall not be treating you as ‘Single Leg’, but I will treat you as Sierra Leoneans. I therefore urge you to always do the right things.”
He added: “Sports is a family, and at the NSA under my leadership, we will continue to work with all associations to maintain these family ties. As a family, the NSA will not give you any special treatment, nor will we disadvantage your Association.”

The NSA reiterated its commitment to inclusivity, equity, and the development of all sporting disciplines in Sierra Leone.
