Amb. Mariama Seray Marrah is an Activist, Youth Ambassador, Girl-Child Champion, Social Entrepreneur and Brand Influencer in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱. Her journey has gained both national and international recognition. In 2021, her story was published across multiple African countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Angola highlighting her as one of the 100 Female Entrepreneurs in Africa. In 2024, she was featured in the She Triumph Magazine during the She Triumph Conference in Ghana. Her story was not only shared in Ghana and Sierra Leone but also reached audiences in Canada, the UK, the US, Kenya and South Africa, demonstrating the global impact of her work.
Most recently, in 2025, Amb. Mariama was honored with the Woman of the Year Award at the OBAA MMO Awards in Ghana, in recognition of her hard work, resilience and extraordinary determination in serving humanity and advancing entrepreneurship. In 2025 she was named among the Triumph Award Honorees, a recognition as the Triumph Champion for Women & Children Support of the Year at the prestigious She Triumph Conference & Awards 2025.

Recently this year 2026 again, she was appointed as the Special Advisor to the President of Future Leaders and Entrepreneurs Academy FLEA- IPAM chapter.

Beyond her milestone achievement Amb. Marrah has been a pivotal figure in advancing women and girls rights and safety, she has also been a constant food donor to the most vulnerable youths on the street especially those dealing with Kush and other drug related crisis, over the years, she has used her platform positively to advocate for youth empowerment and women’s rights, promoting social justice and campaigning for youth sustainable empowerment and gender equality.
Her passion for advocacy campaigns on human rights, community development and youth empowerment has positioned her as one of the key young leading figures in Sierra Leone shaping the country’s social growth and advancing its human capital development.
It’s our honor to recognize her outstanding contributions to human rights, youth empowerment, community development, gender equality and Nation building. As a recipient for the 3rd time consecutively under the 2nd category (Sierra Leone Women’s Excellence Awards) 2023, 2024 & 2026 respectively underscored her unflinching commitment to women and girls empowerment and youth growth. This recognition is a testament of her tireless effort and endless dedication of her advocacy campaigns, and activities staged over the years for the empowerment of her fellow youths and women in Sierra Leone and beyond.
Miss Marrah’s humanitarian work has acquired her in representing her country at global platforms that discuss visible policies which strengthen women rights and community development. This year Madam Marrah would not only serves as a recipient but also will be featured on our 1st edition of the SWEHRA Awards Trailblazer Magazine publication 2026. Where we will share her impactful stories and phenomenal journey from struggle to actualizing vision and gradually achieving the Sierra Leone’s dream.
