SLPP Chairman Batilo Songa Warns Impersonators
The Office of the National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, has been alerted to reports of individuals impersonating the National Chairman and using his name and position to make calls and solicit money, favours, or other forms of assistance from members of the public.
The Office therefore wishes to strongly caution the general public not to entertain, respond to, or comply with any request for money, financial assistance, or favours made by individuals claiming to be Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa or acting on his behalf, particularly through suspicious or unverified telephone calls and messages.
Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa is a respected, decent, and upright political leader whose integrity and public record speak for themselves. He has no involvement whatsoever in such fraudulent or unscrupulous activities.
Members of the public are strongly encouraged to verify any suspicious request before taking action. Any telephone number, message, or individual found using the name of the National Chairman to solicit money or favours should be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
For further verification, members of the public may also contact or visit the SLPP National Headquarters (Unity House) to confirm the authenticity of any communication purportedly coming from the National Chairman or his office.
Stay vigilant. Do not send money or provide personal information based solely on a phone call or message.
