The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara together with the General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, have attended the FIFA Executive Meeting 2026 held in Miami, Untied States of America.

The summit brought together FIFA leadership, Member Associations, and key football stakeholders from across the globe to discuss the future direction of the game and development initiatives.
Among the major highlights from the discussions was the planned transition from FIFA Forward 3. 0 to FIFA Forward 4.0, which will see a 20% increase in funding support to further strengthen football development worldwide.
Since FIFA President Gianni Infantino assumed office in 2016, the FIFA Forward programme has remained a key pillar in supporting Member Associations through investments in football.
FIFA Forward 3.0 is currently being implemented and will conclude at the end of 2026, with the next cycle, FIFA Forward 4.0, scheduled to run from 2027 to 2031, continuing to provide financial support for football growth globally.
The summit also highlighted the introduction of the inaugural FIFA Under 15 Word Cup Festival scheduled for October 2026, which will feature participation from all FIFA Member Associations, creating a new platform for youth football development.
Another key discussion point was FIFA’s partnership with Dazn as the official streaming partner for FIFA+, further expanding access and visibility for football content around the world.
The participation of the SLFA leadership at the summit underscores Sierra Leone’s continued engagement with global partnership programmes and its commitment to advancing the growth of the sport at all levels.
